Food contains nutrients that either supply energy, regulate the various body systems, or are concerned with the growth and repair of body tissue. Athletes are becoming increasing conscious of what they eat, and it now appears that most athletic events have specific nutritional requirements. This course will give scientific-ba<x>sed information and up-to-date practice to make a desc<x>ription of the importance of good nutrition in enhancing performance and preventing injuries. With the lectures and discussion involved, students not only know how to identify the appropriate amount/category in eating for athlete's diet, but also recognize the advantage or disadvantage of nutritional supplements for sports & training.
